Ontario's Guide to Walks Around Toronto
opens with
a location map for the 40 listed walks
and hikes, which stretch from Hamilton to

to Orangeville. You'll find descriptions
of trails in the Conservation Areas and
Provincial Parks, as well as walks
through the cities botanical gardens.

| Bruce
Trail - An Adventure along the Niagara
Escarpment The book provides
excellent information on the trail but
it's greatest value perhaps is the
insight it brings into the world of that
unique animal, the thru-hiker. The Bruce
is so often looked at from the
perspective of the day or weekend hiker
(which is understandable given its
location and wealth of easy access
points) but this world class backpacking
trail also needs to be seen as the
exceptional end-to-end hike that it is.
The authors provide lots of fresh
insights and information if you aspire to
hike the whole thing. |
