The park is about 640km from Montreal. The park is northeast of Rouyn-Noranda.

From Quebec City follow the 132 pasted Baie St-Paul and then head north towards Sainte-Aime-des-Lacs. Keep going pasted the town through the ZEC and into the park. The road is not paved.

From Montreal or Quebec City take the 40 to the 55 just north of Trois Riviere. Take the 55 north and watch for the park signs. The park has two entrances, Saint-Jean-des-Piles and Saint-Mathieu. Riviere-a-la-Peche camping is closer to the St-Jean-des-Piles entrance from exit 226.
