There are two tiny hills in the city of Montreal (great for the kids) one at the University of Montreal, east of Cote de Neige and the other at Beaver Lake on Mont Royal. In contrast the surrounding regions have a wide variety of hills and resorts with a huge amount of skiable acerage, with verticals of over 2,000ft, glades, terrain parks and world class facilities. A short distance from the city St Sauveur, in the Laurentians, lays claim to haveing the largest concentration of lit runs for night riding in the world. Just over an hour further north Mont Tremblant is repeatedly chosen as the number one ski resort in the east and given the range of terrain, the exceptional snow parks along with the great restaurants and bars it's no wonder. Heading south brings you to the quaint villages of the Eastern Townships, where you'll also find great skiing at well know resorts such as Bromont, Orford and Owlshead. Fine dining and country inns are found throughout the region.
