Getting Here

By Air
Fly into Alberta through either Calgary (the closest) or Edmonton Alberta. Another option is to fly into Vancouver, British Columbia. All three have international airport and service a wide variety of carriers.

By Car
Calgary is 2.5hrs distance, follow the highway 1 through Banff and then into the park from Lake Louise.

Edmonton is about 6hrs from the park by way of highway 2 to Calgary then following highway 1 west into Banff, then into the park.

Vancouver is a long days drive (although its very scenic) of at least 9hrs. In the winter the driving will probably take longer and be far more difficult due to the mountain weather, particularly if your coming from Vancouver. Heavy snowfalls, avalanches and other factors may make roads impassible. Check weather and road conditions before your set out.

By Bus
Grayhound Bus Lines can take you into the park.
